Somer Valley – Year In Review

2023 was a busy old year for us, broadcasting more local content than ever before and attending a big bunch of events.

We started the year exclusively announcing the headliners for Outfield Festival 2023:

The festival was a great night, here are just a few highlights:

We then nipped over to Midsomer Nortons heritage days:

We had a great time at Curos Big Get Together:

We then decided, why not launch a Audio Trail of Midsomer Norton? That would be fun right? IT WAS!:

Whilst heritage was on our mind, we launched a brand new show focusing purely on our local minding industry.

Launched in partnership with Somerset Miners Welfare Trust

We then celebrated Local Radio Day:

Many Many Community Heroes were showcased throughout the day but we couldn’t forget our AWESOME volunteers!

It was then time for our yearly Remembrance Special:

Speaking to lots of local residents, young and old, hearing all of the stories and then broadcasting the two minute silence from our local war memorial.

It was a day not to be forgotten.

The year was nearly over, what better way to celebrate than the local Carnival!:

We then had a ball and celebrated our 15 years of broadcasting!

And with that, the year was over.

We didn’t go quiet however, we broadcasted our BIGGEST EVER Christmas Day!
