Pharamaxo was launched in May 2010 and provides a comprehensive range of services to enable hospitals to fully outsource their pharmacies. These include, but are not limited to: medicines supply, clinical and general pharmaceutical advice, aseptic services and the formulation of policies, procedures and guidance on all aspects of medicines use.

The company developed from our existing aseptic services business that trades as Bath ASU and which was founded in June 2000 at the University of Bath. From there it supplied cancer treatments to NHS and Private Hospitals via third party suppliers. The company secured a MHRA manufacturing “specials” license at its inception. Following a management buyout in April 2006 Bath ASU moved with their 17 FTE staff to new purpose-fitted premises in Corsham, Wiltshire.

The company now employs more than 70 staff including pharmacists, chemists, biologists and technicians and is making further investment in staff and its premises, to keep up with increased demand.

We seek to combine the smallest environmental footprint and the biggest social footprint. Working in partnership with the Carbonfund.org, we achieve a zero carbon footprint. The company is also organising the Bath Night Walk in June 2011 with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support and developing a skills transfer program to Zambia.

Somervale School and Norton Hill School are proud to sponsor the local community radio station. The young people of Midsomer Norton are actively involved in the community radio station as presenters, technicians or just avid listeners and the schools are keen to support community projects which add to the local opportunities for young people in the local area.

The station's link with education and the local community dimensions make Somer Valley FM an ideal partner. The school planned and delivered the original RSL license from which Somer Valley FM was born and have taken an active role in managing and supporting the station ever since.
