Tim Carter, a presenter at Somer Valley FM since day one, hosts ‘Off the Beaten Track’ every Monday at 6pm. The aim of the show is to introduce listeners to exceptional music drawn from a diverse range of genres. The Sound Vision on Somer Valley FM show is hosted on a rotational basis, in partnership with Sound Vision, run by CEO Dom Chambers, previous Manager of the radio station. Training is undertaken in the radio station in media skills, and if trainees have a desire to present a show, we offer the opportunity. Additionally, if anyone who has a relationship with the station, and wants to feature strong locally-based stories, then the chance is there to air a show. Somer Valley Voice is a celebration of the spoken word in all its glorious forms. Readings of poetry, book extracts and plays, with anecdotes and original material.
