With a mix of 60s from Elvis to Connie Francis, the 70s with ABBA and Demis Roussos, bopping the morning away to 80s classics from Cyndi, Boy George, The Bangles and so many more... Simon's got it covered!

The perfect start to your weekend with sixty minutes of happy hits including those memorable soundtracks, decades of much loved Eurovision Song Contest numbers and international greats we have all come to love, or in some cases, at least come to know!

Joining the station at the beginning of 2009, Simon comes from a background of entertainment, IT, social work and a few other temporary assignments here and there ...what a talented chap!

Somer Valley has been the perfect platform and allowed Simon to combine these skills and take his interests in media and broadcasting to the next level, you have been warned! He is a member of the Editorial and Content Board that meets monthly to address the ongoing needs of the station during its rapid growth.

This has led to the creation of a new ICT group of which Simon also contributes and draws on his skills in this area. Formed in 2011 the group which comprises of 6 other volunteers has already made some significant changes, leading the way for further development and room for the station to continue to grow. All news and important updates are reported in the newsletter which can be viewed and downloaded on the Somer Valley website.

Simon likes nothing more than being in the spotlight and as a former Butlins Redcoat and Overseas Holiday Entertainer he is used to taking centre stage, "...I am very spontaneous, quick witted and love to make people laugh!"
