Somer Valley FM is a volunteer led community enterprise that gives a voice to our region as its only dedicated broadcaster. Everything we broadcast is made by locals for those who live in the Somer Valley and neighbouring regions. We can be heard in Northeast Somerset on FM, Bristol and Keynsham on DAB, and via smart speaker, also on our website you can listen live or on-demand.

We broadcast 12-15 hours of fresh locally generated content every day. With Jo on Breakfast and Seb & co on Drive. We do it all from brunch to bangers, funk to folk, soul to sport, healthcare to heritage. Local sports, arts, music and events all find their way onto the airways as well.

It is all about local. Our community is your community.

After 15 years we know the power local radio has to make a difference and positively impact people’s lives. We empower individuals, communities and local organisations with the skills and confidence to share their stories with our listeners. We encourage and nurture creative talent to get involved in local radio. And of course, we get to share the music we love. We define community led grassroots media. It’s fun being on the radio. Our listeners like what we do. That’s good if you are building your business because our listeners can become your customers.
